Most expensive car ever sold at auction
A 1957 red Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa sold for $16.4 million at the Gooding & Co. auction this month.
The car broke the record of most-expensive car ever sold by $3.9 million dollars.
The car, a rare prototype, had been expected to sell in the range of $15 to $20 million.
A Hubley cast-iron bathing beauties doorstop sold for $10,350

Bertoia's Auctions are famous for their early cast iron doorstops. And one set bathing beauties set the world-auction-record at $10,350.
The Hubley Art Deco doorstop, designed by Fish, created a bidding frenzy during the auction in Vineland, N.J.
"The Bathing Beauties doorstop is an extremely popular form with collectors, and this example was in particularly nice condition,” said Jeanne Bertoia, the company's owner. “It was estimated at $3,000-$4,000 and sold for $10,350, which we believe to be a world auction record.
Signed Beatles single "Please Please Me" was sold for nearly $13,000
An extremely high price for Beatles memorabilia
A copy of the Beatles hit single Please Please Me signed on both sides by all four members of the band fetched £9,000 at auction in Liverpool in August.
The single is from 1963, when a Liverpool woman listened to them at the Cavern Venue and asked all four of them to sign it after.
The item was one of 322 lots at the annual Beatles memorabilia auction, and was called "very, very rare."
